Researches and makes recommendations on the direction of Client's IT strategy. Provides technical direction for large projects and/or new technology decisions. Consults with business partners on technology trends which will influence product decisions and future opportunities. Utilizes industry knowledge of business and technology trends to enhance business impact while defining enterprise architecture and technology requirements. Performs the leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks required to develop the Enterprise Architecture program (EA) and to ensure that it is leveraged. Assists with governance activities associated with ensuring EA compliance. Oversees asset-centric portfolio management disciplines (for such solution portfolios as application, service-oriented architecture [SOA] service or shared infrastructure). Develops road maps describing the evolution of all enterprise solution portfolios from current state to future state. Collaborates with project teams to enhance and improve the product delivery cycle for new products and services. Responsible for ensuring that the most appropriate technologies are integrated into the organization. Uses a broad and deep understanding of technical concepts in multiple specialized fields to guide development of solutions to problems and critical design issues. Takes a long-term perspective in addressing customer problems. May trade off immediate costs for the sake of the long-term technical goals.
