We are looking for a Documentation Specialist to join our team of User Assistance professionals at Trimble’s BIM and Engineering division. The primary hiring location for this position is with our MEP product management and support professionals in Bodegraven, Netherlands. We will also consider applicants who would like to be based together with our Documentation and e-learning professionals in Espoo, Finland.
 
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will be related to improving and expanding the user documentation for Trimble's MEP software products, primarily Stabicad. With the support of your team and our in-house subject matter experts, you will take part in these kind of tasks:

Creating and updating written end-user documentation in English.Researching, curating, and optimizing the content for various distribution channels, including an AI assistant.Designing and creating illustrations and examples.Following up and prioritizing requests for improvements and additions from users and internal stakeholders.Taking part in the planning and further development of our tools, processes, and information products.


What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

At minimum two years of experience in technical communications in a similar role, preferably more. You need to already be familiar with the work and how to create clear instructions when you start this job.Excellent English - English as a first language, university degree in English, or similar level. We create all our materials in English. We do not require any other language skills.Good teamwork and interpersonal skills. We work together with the team and in-house experts to provide the best value for our audience.Ability to work independently on your own area of responsibility within our common guidelines. You will have sole responsibility for documenting your assigned products.

 
What Skills & Experience You Could Bring

Previous experience with AuthorIt or tools and processes related to producing structured documentation  (DITA). These are the tools we use for written documentation.Experience using AI assistants for delivering content to users.Experience creating screen recording videos. Visual 3D modeling environments are easier to grasp with visual explanations.Experience using any 3D modeling software. It’s what our main products are.Ability to communicate in Dutch or French. This can help in gathering information from  your colleagues and our customers.Any other skills and interests you have that help us better serve our user base (or entertain your colleagues, we appreciate that too).

About Your Location
This is an onsite or a hybrid position primarily in our Bodegraven office in the Netherlands or in our Espoo (Leppävaara) office in Finland. We expect you to be at the office at least 3 days a week.
