As a member of the NAND Process Integration Engineering team within our Technology Development Group at Micron Technology, you will be an integral part of a global team tasked with propelling NAND technology from R&D to high volume manufacturing. Your role will involve leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to deliver industry-leading performance and cost efficiencies within demanding timelines. 

In your capacity as a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) or Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMTS) within the NAND PI team, you will be pivotal in driving innovation, spearheading technical projects, defining the technical roadmap, and mentoring fellow engineers. Your expertise will be crucial in developing state-of-the-art NAND process integration solutions to support yield ramp-up. Your contributions will have a lasting impact on the memory industry. 

 

Expectations:

Derive construction specifications based on electrical, inline metrics, unit processes and design rulesDesign, execute and analyze experiments necessary to meet engineering specifications based on structure to electrical correlationsSolve problems with a model-based approach and drive technical innovation through process improvements, patents and/or technical papers   In depth of knowledge of semiconductor device physics and electrical characterization methods including probe, ESDA, param and reliabilityProficient in data analysis through JMP, Python or other data engineering softwareOwn critical taskforce, take ownership of critical initiatives, leading cross functional technical team to execute new tech node yield roadmap, collaborate closely with process engineering, equipment team, technology development and local yield teams to improve new technology.   Guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and career development. Cultivate an innovative mindset, identifying opportunities for process improvements that align with state-of-the-art product requirement while optimizing costs. Develop a fundamental understanding on structure and device.  Understand their impact on manufacturability, cost, and quality. Provide engineering support to internal team members and senior leaders.

Qualifications:

Technical expertise: Detailed knowledge of semiconductor integration and the interaction of different processes and metrology with at least 10 years of relevant experience in advanced memory or logic node. Solid knowledge of process engineering, including lithography, dry etch, wet etch, CMP, thin film, diffusion, and implantation.  Project leadership: Proven skills in leading complex technical projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results. Ability to drive cross-functional technical teams and successfully complete of complex projects.Communication skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the capacity to influence and motivate others. Ability to collaborate with multi-functional, multi-cultural teams. Innovation: Documented track record of providing innovative solutions

 

Education:

M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or Material Science Engineering, PhD preferred Or Equivalent work experience.
