This individual must be capable of managing multiple programs simultaneously, understanding community needs, and implementing innovative solutions to foster workforce development. Job Duties + Oversee all Workforce Development programs, support services, and special projects to ensure program goals are achieved. + Monitor the progress of department programs towards their goals and develop plans for corrective action as needed. + Stay informed about DOL, DOJ, and WIOA policies and regulations. + Oversee the preparation and monthly submission of all required reports for management and funding sources. + Submit reports and provide recommendations to relevant committees, agencies, and governmental units. + Maintain effective communication with program partner organizations. + Evaluate the job performance of team members within the department. + Represent the department and its programs within the community and with funding partners. + Participate in grant development activities. + Prepare, monitor, and responsibly manage the division's budget and allocated funds. + Seek out and develop new funding opportunities for the division. + Participate in agency leadership, division, and operations meetings. + Contribute to the development of agency policies and problem-solving efforts. + Support, attend, and participate in Urban League functions and fundraising events. + Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the executive leadership team or as required by agreements between the Urban League and program sponsors or funding sources. Requirements + Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred); or a combination of education and experience. + Minimum of four years of equivalent experience in employment training, vocational counseling, project management, employee assistance counseling, skill assessment, or training, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity. + Strong project management experience. + Experience working with reentry populations. + Vocational training or counseling background. + Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills. + Extensive knowledge of grant-funded programs and processes. + Knowledge of public administration, personnel supervision, and fiscal management principles and practices. + Valid driver’s license with a clean record and reliable vehicle. + Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals and institutions. + Team player with a positive and proactive attitude. + Ability to work evenings and weekends when required. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Salary Description $60,000 to $63,000
