The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Orthopedics is currently seeking a full time Division Administrator, Clinical to work in Miami, FL. The Division Administrator, Clinical works in conjunction with the department’s administrators to provide leadership to the assigned functional area within the organization. The incumbent analyzes practice operations and needs to determine potential enhancements or improvements to operational procedures and develops supporting patient accounting policies and procedures.

 CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures.

Develops and maintains systems for managing and reporting the division’s activities.

Maintains close liaison and positive working relationships with faculty and staff.

Provides leadership in developing business strategies and tactics to support the goals of the division and Health System’s strategic plans for market growth and development.

Oversees the performance management processes and outcomes for employees and physicians.

Supports professional development of the workforce and performs needs assessments to determine continuing education needs of staff.

Monitors staff and physician satisfaction.

Supports quality improvement processes and pursues the spread of best practice in operations consistent with overall network goals.

Directs the planning and strategic formation of clinical program goals.

Analyzes and reviews financial and productivity reports.

Oversees business plan development for capital projects.

Provides overall administrative direction and coordination for revenue cycle management policies, procedures, and programs.

Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS    

         

Education:

Bachelors required; Masters preferred

Experience:

Seven or more years progressive management experience in a hospital and/or medical practice setting. Experience in orthopedics, ASCs, and/or a related clinical setting is preferred but not required.
