Job Description

The EVERSANA District Sales Manager (DSM) will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and expanding a team of Territory Managers who will introduce and our client's new product. You will oversee up to 8 Territory Managers, starting with up to 4, and ensure they achieve their sales targets and professional growth. This role demands a strategic leader with a proven track record of success in sales management, team building, market development, and product launches.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development: Hire, train, and mentor a team of Territory Managers, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring each team member achieves their sales targets.Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve district sales goals and expand market presence.Product Launches: Lead the planning and execution of product launches, ensuring a successful introduction into the market and establishing strong initial sales channels.Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of Territory Managers, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to enhance their effectiveness.Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, identify opportunities for growth, and develop strategies to capitalize on these opportunities.Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, healthcare providers, and stakeholders.Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and team progress to senior management.Budget Management: Manage the district sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve sales objectives.Travel: Travel within the district to support Territory Managers, attend client meetings, and participate in industry events (approximately 50% travel).All other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, medical diagnostics with at least 3+ years in a sales management role. Medical Device experience in Women's Health/gynecology preferred.Product Launch Experience: Proven experience in launching new products into the market and establishing successful sales channels.Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in hiring, training, and growing a sales team, with a consistent record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attributes: Strategic thinker, results-driven, and capable of thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
