How you'll make an impact Job Title: District Sales Manager - D7 Location: Austin Area Compensation: Competitive Salary + Commission, Benefits, Cell Phone & Mileage Allowance Hours of Operation: Monday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (depending on business needs) Job Overview: The District Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing sales operations within the Austin Area, driving growth and ensuring the consistent performance of multiple agencies. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in sales management, preferably within the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strategic planning abilities, and a proven track record in managing and motivating sales teams. Key Responsibilities: Area Action Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to the area, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Set performance goals. Leadership & Team Management: Conduct weekly sales meetings every Monday morning and participate in twice-weekly conference calls to review progress and strategize. Performance Management: Evaluate the performance of sales teams, provide constructive feedback, and take disciplinary action as necessary to maintain high standards. Sales Contests & Motivation: Organize and oversee sales contests to incentivize teams, driving higher performance and achieving targets. Sales Monitoring: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current sales status, ensuring timely reporting of agency openings and closings. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with agency managers on marketing strategies, weekly and monthly planning, and provide continuous support for their development. Training & Development: Assist in training agency managers and sales agents in key areas such as customer service, sales techniques, and vendor relations. Strategic Feedback: Provide insightful feedback on agency sales strategies and adherence to company procedures, ensuring continuous improvement. Operational Coordination: Maintain regular communication with Sales Agency Managers, other District Managers, and provide daily updates to the higher management regarding agency performance. Agency Growth: Contribute to the growth and management of agencies, offering guidance to Sales Managers and fostering strong relationships within the area. Work within an agency on an as needed basis. About You Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience. Experience: Proven experience in sales management; district-level management experience is highly desirable. Experience in the insurance industry is required, with an insurance license being a plus. Strong Sales Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements (P&L, sales projections, indicator reports). Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Motivate by example.
