Distribution Center Supervisor (Nogales, Arizona)
A Day in Your Life at MKS:As a Materials Supervisor at a new Distribution Center, you will partner with internal and external customers to ensure material is managed and moved in the safest and most efficient means possible. In this role, you will report to the Distribution Center General Manager.You Will Make an Impact By:• Responsibility 1: Foster a culture of safety ensuring material handling is done in the most safest and efficient manner possible, minimizing risk to both personnel and the operation • Responsibility 2: Lead, optimize, and enhance inbound and outbound material processes and policies to minimize losses and reduce costs, approaching from a Lean mindset • Responsibility 3: Proactively lead Lean processes within the productivity space, with relation to inventory management, movement, and transactions • Responsibility 4: Develop local policies and implement a training program for distribution center personnel capturing lessons learned and best practices from world class facilities • Travel Requirements: Up to 10% of Travel may be required. Required Skills:• Bachelor’s degree preferred• CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred• 3-5 years of related experiencePhysical Demands & Working Conditions:• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand• Must be able to exchange accurate information• Operates in a warehousing environment• Constantly operates a computer• Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)• Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat• Noise level in the work environment is usually average; however, there will be times when noise levels will be high #LI-AS1 Globally, our policy is to recruit individuals from wide and diverse backgrounds.
