Distributed Control System Business Developer
(Remote)
Siemens Process Automation has an exciting opportunity for a Distributed Control System (DCS) Business Developer who will hold various key commercial and technical responsibilities. This position will lead the customer journey process from Opportunity Identification, Scoping Workshops all the way through purchase order. This role will be best suited by a highly positive, high energy individual capable of driving programs, and external teams through the customer journey process. The selected candidate will work with Field Sales, Technical Consultants, Product Management and Finance to ensure we position our technology relative to the customer's needs, give market feedback, and initial pricing per customer/market expectations. While the focus will be on DCS, the awarded candidate will also be incentivized to position related Process Automation (PA) portfolio products such as networking, and process instrumentation.
We are looking for a DCS Business Developer who focuses on DCS and will be based at in the following regions: Mid-Atlantic, Gulf Coast, Pacific Northwest

Define account strategies for existing customers, including opportunities for other PA products. Create plans to develop new DCS customers Lead customer ‘exploratory’ meetings, presenting Siemens DCS benefits Support Bill of Material generation, architectures per customer opportunities Provide pricing guidance per industry, customer application, and expected budget Gather and feedback product requirements and market informationYou’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the industrial automation or DCS industry. Strong understanding of DCS technology and applications. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Travel between 20%-50%Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipYou’ll benefit from:
