Distillation Technician - 1st Shift - Up to $25/hr

Opportunity Highlights Paid Weekly! 1st Shift: Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM  Pay: $22/hr-$25/hr based on experience  The Opportunity

 

The Distillation Technician oversees various distillation processes, ensuring safe operations and compliance with environmental rules. This role includes monitoring equipment, running tests, and ensuring product quality meets standards. The technician actively supports plant safety programs, keeps accurate production records, and works with the lab team to improve processes.

Key Job Responsibilities

 

Oversee the operation of multiple distillation processes and equipment functions. Participate in plant safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by ensuring all operations adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies, while fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.  Monitor and control process parameters to meet product specifications, analyzing system controls, log sheets, and lab reports. Perform tests at various production stages, including Gas Chromatography, moisture, non-volatile residue, and color analysis on both pre-feed and finished products. Optimize equipment operation to maximize efficiency, yields, and minimize waste. Collect product samples at various stages for lab analysis. Maintain production logs and reports, documenting production levels, maintenance needs, and related information. Contribute to plant safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in a science field preferred, or equivalent experience. Two years of experience in a similar environment or industry desired. Successful completion of Hazwoper training. Strong computer skills and ability to interpret operational documents and SOPs. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and attention to detail.
