As the Supervisor, Dispatch, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our outbound transportation running safely, efficiently, and on time at our St. Jacobs Dealer Support Centre. In this role, you will optimize fleet assets, manage 3PL resources, and ensure compliance with the Carrier Safety Management System (CSMS). Led by the Manager, Outbound Transportation, this opportunity will best suit a strong leader who thrives on guiding teams, overseeing driver performance, and making an impact in a dynamic supply chain setting.  Ready to make an impact? Here’s how:  Assign and dispatch drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and timely deliveries of Home products. Address Dealer transportation inquiries.Receive, assign, and coordinate all vendor pickups on return routes. Explore back haul opportunities on empty returning routes. Maintaining accurate records of locations.Support the Manager with ongoing basis consultations with fleet maintenance teams to ensure supply of serviced tractors and trailers is available. Coordinate service and repair work with fleet maintenance to support maintenance intervals.Assist with driver recruitment, hiring, orientation, and maintaining driver records.Support collision/incident investigations, participate in review committees, driver committees and assist with departmental events.Organize training, enforce safety and compliance to Home Hardware policies, manage performance, and support corrective actions.Stay up to date on federal and provincial transportation regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) compliance.Share 24/7 on-call responsibilities with the Dispatch team for emergencies and anomalies.Ensure ELD system accuracy, track KPIs, and implement improvements.Collaborate with Shipping Supervisors to optimize equipment use and manage overflow loads.Other duties as assigned.We’re looking for: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatch, including supervisory experience.A valid commercial driver’s license is preferred.Strong knowledge of trucking operations, shipping, and fleet maintenance, with a solid understanding of relevant government regulations.Familiarity with Canadian highways and geographical areas related to planned routes.Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Driver Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other transportation-related software.Mechanical aptitude with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage dynamic, fast-paced workloads.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train, mentor, and lead teams effectively.Strong problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.The ability to be onsite five (5) days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate the needs of the role.How we’ll make you feel at HomeOur Team Members enjoy life at Home with our strong culture of support and inclusion, excellent benefits, and a team that always has your back.  You will receive:  Competitive earnings opportunity.Annual Incentive/Bonus Program.Comprehensive Benefits Program including:Health, Dental, Vision, Paramedical, Disability coverage, Out of Country Travel Insurance, Life Insurance, Employee Family Assistance Program.Defined Contribution Pension Plan with Company Match, and choice of contribution level.Group RRSP.Discounts from our corporate retail stores.Home & Auto Insurance discounts.Competitive vacation time.Personal and sick time.Employee Discount Program through Venngo WorkPerks. Bring your unique skills, thrive with interesting and challenging work, and experience what it’s like at Home.
