A Dispatch Manager at White Cap…
Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Generally has 7+ years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior supervisory experience
Experience with routing software.
Experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.
