Position Summary:

Are you looking for something fast-paced, with a lot of daily interaction and variety?  If yes, our Truck Dispatch Associate opportunity may be just right for you!  This position plays a key role within our Trucking Division and supports its daily success.  A typical day in this position includes dispatching end dumps, helping driver get on the Fleetwatcher app, and communicating with end dump drivers. This position will also back up and assist the Logistics Coordinator.

Job-Type: Full-time, Seasonal with winters off.  Benefits are available and carry year-round.

Requirements: All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test.  References will also be checked. 

 

Job Duties:

Back-up to Logistics Coordinator. Sign trucks in and out daily. Monitor incoming loads of material. Ensure trucks being scaled out are properly loaded. Help drivers get on Fleetwatcher. Communicate daily material production needs to plant personnel. Work with Trucking Dispatcher to reroute trucks during daily operations as needed. Remotely Scale Trucks. Map truck routes as needed. Quickly and proactively resolve problems that may arise. Regular communication throughout the day via texting on cell phone.  Answer the phones. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Strong communication skills and positive attitude. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel. Skills in time management, organization, and conflict resolution. Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs: Must be able to work after hours and Saturdays as needed. (Regular work hours generally range Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Ownership in projects/problems. Ability to multi-task. Motivated and reliable. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. Basic math skills. Knowledge of the seven-country metro area (truck routes).
