Director - Undergraduate Advising
Posting Number: S06191P Department: Interdisciplinary Studies Salary Range: $75,000.00 DOQ Pay Basis: Monthly Position Status: Regular full-time Location: Richardson Job Description: + Manages overall operations of the School’s advising team. + Manages a caseload of students in advising. + Manages School’s event coordination such as new student orientations. + Serves as a primary contact point for the School’s advising. + Manages the school’s advising team and delegates duties. + Assists advisors in problem-solving complex student situations. + Consult and coordinate with other Advising Directors to streamline student services. + Assists in standardizing the School’s advising practices to University standards. + Assists in ensuring FERPA standards and documentation of practices. + Serves on the School’s leadership team as needed for marketing, recruitment, and planning. + Assists in ensuring the integrity of the School’s degree plan, catalog, and graduation audit. + Serves as a point of contact to help coordinate leave and vacation coverage. + Attends weekly advising director meetings to ensure University-wide coordination. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in counseling or a related field and 8 years experience working with college students in an academic counseling or advising capacity; or Master’s degree & six years’ experience as described above.
