Director Supply Chain Planning

General Purpose: 

The Director of Supply Chain Planning will own and lead all aspects of supply planning and execution for direct materials and services and be the go-to business partner for cross-functional teams to resolve tactical and strategic supply issues.  This candidate will ensure that all products are planned in alignment with the demand profile, evaluate risks and opportunities, raise issues, and communicate all relevant information within cross-functional teams, suppliers and ODMs to drive positive business results.

 

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations: 

Developing, supporting, and monitoring departmental objectives towards the goal of achieving the annual Company Operating Plan. Managing Inventory levels to minimize production risk while maximizing inventory turns. Identifying and driving adoption of Key Performance Indicators as they apply to Supply Chain success, as well as providing input to KPIs as they apply to Manufacturing success. Partner with internal business teams in developing solution roadmaps.  Modify existing and architect new processes, procedures, and ways of working within the supply chain team and across the interdependent business functions. Own the order to ship cycle; drive improvements to performance to schedule, including performance to customer request and performance to first commit. Lead and execute supply chain improvement projects that improve controls, reduce process complexity and cost. Provide analytical support to identify root cause on issues and recommend improvements across operations groups. Provide a high level of customer service, including recommending solutions, resources, and alternative supply options. Management of supplier relationships and development of partnerships to ensure efficient use of resources and effective material and component supply practices. Responsible for ODM clear-to-build execution and reporting as well as monitoring open Purchase Orders, stock status reports and expediting order fulfillment to ensure on time deliver Arranging International shipments and verifying accuracy of all documentation. Key stakeholder in NPI core-team meetings, taking ownership of NPI requirements include material and supplier capacity readiness to ensure new product launch success.  Similarly owning end-of-life strategy, engaging with the supply base to analyze, drive last time buy decisions and mitigate excess & obsolute liability. Manage a team of direct reporting managers and their team.  Mentoring of teams to cultivate a positive and professional work environment. Other projects, assignments, and duties as required.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

You will need to be an ambitious professional with a strong background of supply chain planning, team management, understanding best practices and key principles with a very strong working knowledge of analytics and reporting.  These attributes combined with a strong drive for continuous improvement, excellent communication skills and overall passion to succeed will contribute to Corsair and your success.

Experience in leading the development, configuration and implementation of MRP and supply chain management tools. Ability to create data visualizations to aid in the analysis and execution of the supply chain. In depth knowledge of MS Office Applications, including advance knowledge of Excel. Strong organization skills with ability to interpret multiple data inputs simultaneously, synthesize the information quickly, make data-driven decisions, and clearly communicate to stakeholders. Ability to manage competing objectives effectively and make decisions that deliver the best overall business results for Corsair. Positive and inclusive leadership style with demonstrated ability to leverage skills and experiences of team members. Collaborative communication approach with an emphasis on promoting teamwork.

REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or related disciplines or equivalent experience In depth experience with MRP/ERP and BI reporting tools.  Oracle EBS/Cloud and SCM experience is a plus. Supply Chain accreditation (ASCM/APICS/ISM/etc) is preferred. 8-10 years of prior experience in demand and supply forecasting, inventory management or supply chain management Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and high-pressure situations. Self-driven to achieve the highest standards of service, implementation excellence and on-time delivery. Must possess strong leadership skills and be well organized, self-motivated, focused on meeting deadlines and able to multitask within a fast-paced environment. Applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management and warehousing disciplines Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail

NICE TO HAVE:

High volume CE / Consumer Electronics experience APICS/ASCM or other supply chain accreditations

For roles that are based at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  

Annual Salary Range $190,000—$210,000 USD
