Director Supply Chain
Position Purpose:

Director of Supply Chain directs and has overall responsibility for strategy and tactical execution of facilities functions for 60+ THD distribution centers. Oversees and responsible for planning, directing and reviewing activities and operations of the facilities department, including building construction, grounds, material handling equipment maintenance and automation required to support DCs. Builds partnerships with Operations, Asset Protection, Distribution Engineering and Building Services to collectively develop and execute strategies, initiatives and scheduled maintenance services in order to deliver safe and high performance facilities while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Coordinates activities with outside regulatory agencies in order to assure compliance with OSHA, federal, state and local codes and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:30% Manages team to develop and maintain and utilizes various tools to enable effective development, education and direction of staff. Selects, develops and motivates assigned staff.30% Develops, plans and implements department's goals and objectives; recommends and administers policies and procedures; coordinates department's activities with those of other THD and SC departments.20% Develops and implements sustainable and reliability centered maintenance programs and concepts. Establishes KPIs to measure and validate operational excellence.20% Establishes short and long range capital plans and executes projects in a timely and fiscally responsible manner with utmost customer satisfaction.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:Reports to Senior Director of Distribution Operations
Travel Requirements:Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
Physical Requirements:Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Working Conditions:Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Minimum Qualifications:Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS degree is preferableMinimum 10 years of experience with directing facility's operations with multi site distribution center format operated with high level of automationExperience managing managers of with facility level maintenance responsibilitiesExtensive knowledge and experience with managing complex material handling projects from concept to successful implementationExperience with computerized maintenance management systems and deploying Tool/Parts Crib management solutionsKnowledge of modern and complex principles of maintenance program development and administrationExperience to interpret and apply federal, state, local and system policies, procedures, laws and regulations
Minimum Education:The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
