Acts as the primary contact for our distribution platform partner relationships in a sales and servicing role with Touchstone Investments. Supports the internal and external wholesalers with information provided by our distribution partners. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for independently making a broad range of critical decisions, escalating to VPs and executive-level associates only when appropriate.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you will do:
Acts as the primary contact for select strategic relationships at select broker-dealer and large RIA aggregator firms.Directly manages a select number of strategic relationships.Works with subadvisors to maximize marketing efforts. Establishes national and regional conference calls with select strategic relationships. Coordinates manager visits for regional meetings, conferences and top producing financial professionals.Identifies product needs of the distribution partner, and positions Touchstone's products and value-added offerings with home office personnel.Sets Portfolio Manager conference calls and meetings.Works with Marketing department to coordinate marketing efforts between our distribution partner and Touchstone. Serves as an efficient link to needs of Touchstone sales force and distribution partners.Works with subadvisors to maximize marketing efforts. Establishes national and regional conference calls with select strategic relationships. Coordinates manager visits for regional meetings, conferences and top-producing financial professionals.Enhances product relationships. Positions Touchstone's products at partner firms with ley relationship management personnel. Identifies distribution partner product needs and sets appropriate Portfolio Manager conference calls and meetings. Markets the research that Touchstone can provide.Establishes regular visits to select strategic partnerships. Promotes sales ideas and marketing efforts. Discusses future marketing efforts. Reviews activity reports. Reviews production reports.Acts as a member of Touchstone Investments' Distribution Partner Agreement Review Committee. Monitors subadvisor relationships. Monitors subadvisor performance. Makes recommendations on subadvisor action.Partners directly with Touchstone's Institutional sales team to promote research coverage, recommendation and product placement.Acts as subject matter expert for Touchstone's suite of practice consulting suite of tools for engagement with partner firms. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Or commensurate selection criteria experience (Required)Proven experience handling multiple duties, and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis. Cite examples of project management experience in planning, executing and maintaining a project from start to finish. (Required) andProven work experience directing others to initiate a recommended course of action to solve a problem or increase efficiency. (Required)Demonstrated sales and presentation skills that focus on relationship-building in the distribution platform partner environment.Proven ability to successfully interact with key contacts at our distribution partners.Demonstrated ability to work with home offices and internal marketing to develop value-added programs.Demonstrated strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for large projects. Examples would include meeting coordination and organization of meetings for wholesaler events or coordination of home office visits for Portfolio Managers to introduce new investments.Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner while following proper rules of punctuation, diction and style. Ability to prepare correspondence, reports and forms using a prescribed format. Experience must include strong telephone communication and etiquette skills.Proven analytical skills relative to investment performance of funds. This would include comparing and contrasting mutual funds relative to Morningstar and other industry standards.Must be able to cite examples of self-motivation and experience working independently.Demonstrated thorough understanding of a financial professional's daily activities such as selling, managing and marketing investments to high-net-worth individuals.Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.FINRA Licenses FINRA Series 7 license Upon Hire (Required)FINRA Licenses FINRA Series 63 and 65 (or combined 66) licenses within 180 Days (Required)Work Setting/Position Demands:
This position travels and works in various office settings and requires being in a stationary position for long periods of time frequently while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. Position requires frequent movement of wrist, hands and fingers for continuous computer work.Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work.Requires the ability to prepare written correspondence, reports and forms using prescribed formats and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style on a regular basis.Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsExtended hours required during peak workloads or special projects/events.Associate must be able to travel via airplaneAssociate must be able to travel via carOccasional after-hours work neededTravel Requirements:
40% travel Regional and nationwide travel approximately 30-40% of time. Note: Posted Hiring Salary Range The salary ranges posted reflect our targeted base pay hiring range for the position. The final determination on base pay for any position will be determined based on multiple factors to ensure pay equity within the organization. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
