American Express entered the travel agency business in 1915 and today is one of the world’s largest luxury travel and lifestyle service networks. The Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) business provides exclusive access, differentiated value, extraordinary service, and unrivaled expertise to premium Card Members seeking leisure or business travel, as well as a variety of lifestyle services. The TLS COE (Center of Excellence) is tasked with uniting the travel and lifestyle benefits and strategic travel partner relationships globally to create structured and focused plans towards advanced Card Member engagement with Amex travel benefits.

The Revenue Management & Analytics team within Amex Travel is a newly forming, fast-growth division that will play a key role in informing our global travel strategy, strengthening partner relationships, and catalyzing overall enterprise business growth through data driven insights and financial reporting.

As the Director of Revenue Management, you will be responsible for leading a team focused on data analytics and financial planning to inform the Amex Travel partnerships team on incentive structures that will advance our partner relationships with top travel brands. You will be focused on creating a revenue management strategy to optimize partner contracts and sales performance that will advance our partner relationships with top travel brands.

This Director will also lead the charge on creating clear reporting, forecasting revenue targets and partnering with the Account Management team on strategies to achieve set targets. 

To achieve these ambitions, it is imperative that this leader builds strong relationships and collaborates effectively with Enterprise stakeholders, including the Account Management, Marketing and Finance teams.  The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

 

Responsibilities:

Formulate and execute pricing and inventory management strategies Provide data analysis, project management, contract negotiation and partnership management Create, identify, and supporting new revenue drivers Support new product development to drive engagement and deepen partnerships Participate in and lead strategic projects  Create and maintain key relationships with internal stakeholders and external contacts Effectively communicate revenue performance and competitive market dynamics Own and manage core revenue and analytics KPIs through dynamic dashboards, executive presentations, and progress tracking. Establish and implement strategies that drive revenue growth generation among key customer segments and revenue centers. Lead alignment and execution of revenue goals across TLS, ensuring integration with all departments. 

 

Qualifications:

Strong background in data-driven strategy, revenue management, and cross-functional leadership in a highly matrixed environment. Extensive functional and technical understanding of pricing, trade investment, and product mix management. Advanced analytical skills and strategic planning skills, with expertise in targeting, segmentation, reporting and measurement, multivariate analysis, modeling, sales, revenue management systems, pricing strategies and market analysis. Experience with partner negotiations. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners globally. Outstanding collaboration skills, ability to work across teams regardless of reporting lines, to achieve joint outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to non-technical collaborators. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, engineering, math, science, economics, etc.). Advanced degrees preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years in revenue management roles, including at least 2 years in a leadership position.
