Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Director - Managed Detection & Response to be a part of making this happen.
Overview
A Director - Security Research MDR plans and directs all aspects of development activities within the IDR domain of MDR which includes third party tool integration, detection authoring, and response actions. This means that they ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives. They report into the Senior Director of R&D, MDR or defined senior leadership. They work closely with R&D, Product Management and Security Services (S2) to ensure their teams are building what our customers and users need in a timely fashion.
Scope of Role
Works with the product team to define and plan a rolling, 18 month roadmap for IDR. Directs Senior Managers and Directors with respect to criticality, prioritization, and execution of work.

Basic Qualifications
15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with demonstrable technical expertise multiple domains.
7+ years of management experience in a cybersecurity or software engineering role.
Proficiency in software development.
Experience with detection/signature authorship.
Experience with endpoint security products.
Experience with cloud providers and security platforms.
Experience leading Agile development teams, preferably with formal Agile training
A clear history of technical influence (public conference talks, papers, etc)
A clear history of learning and skills development.
Ability to lead teams working in the Eastern Time Zone
Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or an engineering field.
Responsibilities
Support the team by providing direction, clarity and removing obstacles.
Execute the Product roadmap
Provide thought leadership and guidance with respect to industry trends and future space.
Drive research and innovation in the detections domain.
Implement the R&D Department responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Oversee the full software development life cycle.
Ensure their teams is following ISMS regulations
Develop careers of team members
Execute administrative responsibilities
Recruitment
Mentor individuals and establish career development plans and achievable goals across the IDR organization.
Drive continuous development process improvements.
Build collaborative relationships with other teams and stakeholders within and outside of the MDR organization.
