We want you to apply! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The California Waste Compliance Director will ensure consistent implementation and enforcement of the Hazardous Materials and Hazardous and Medical Waste Management Plan and compliance with all applicable company policies and legal requirements relating to hazardous and medical waste generations, storage, handling, treatment, transportation, and disposal at all California facilities. The Waste Compliance Director will oversee and communicate regularly with Waste Compliance Coordinators regarding implementation of the waste compliance program and results of internal waste audits. **What will you do in this role:** + Monitor California and federal regulatory and legislative updates applicable to waste management and protect health information (PHI). + Provide guidance to facilities related to waste determinations. + Oversee onsite compliance audits at each California facility as directed by company policy. + Manage updates to the Hazardous Materials and Hazardous and Medical Waste Management Plan as needed to reflect changes in facility operations, changes in law, or changes in related company procedures. + Sets and tracks key performance indicators for facility-based Waste Compliance Coordinators and facility waste management performance. + Reviews and approves the formal written programs on emergency preparedness and prevention, contingency plans, waste minimizations, and personnel training prepared for each individual California facility Waste Compliance Coordinator. + Will work with Waste Compliance Coordinators on developing department-specific hazardous and medical waste training + Will work with Waste Compliance Coordinators to review and responding to all advisement of violations, including any notices of violations and any associated inspection reports. + Will work with Waste Compliance Coordinators to review annually all hazardous waste, medical waste, and PHI policies to confirm they are effective. **What qualifications you will need:** + Bachelor’s Degree Required + A minimum of five years’ experience in Waste Compliance Coordination.
