JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for all operational aspects of undergraduate business programs.
Title Position Reports To: Associate Dean
SALARY INFORMATION:
In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $89,000. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. An annual base salary higher than the range may be warranted in circumstances where a candidate has demonstrable equivalent prior higher education experience at another University.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
+ The primary contact for all undergraduate students in the Willumstad School of Business.
+ Will be responsible for recruitment and enrollment for the transfer student population and assist admissions for new first year students.
+ Is an administrator who oversees the Willumstad School of Business undergraduate programs and works with the Willumstad School of Business faculty and/or curriculum committee to make curricula changes if necessary.
+ Oversee transfer credit issues and evaluates course materials provided by a student to determine whether credits earned at another institution are transferable to his/her academic program at the Willumstad School of Business. Responds to inquiries from prospective students regarding academic questions.
+ Assist with completing surveys for national and international school rankings, ensuring accurate reporting of program data and achievements.
+ Collaborate with department chairs to support curriculum development, align offerings with student and program needs, and maintain academic excellence.
+ Assist with course planning by informing the associate dean and department chairs the courses needed for each department each semester.
+ Work with department chairs, director of accreditation, and academic directors of graduate programs (e.g., 4+1) to ensure curriculum is current appropriate standards are set, and suitable facu lty are assigned to courses.
+ Handle all paperwork for undergraduate students including but not limited to change of majors/specialization, change of grades, petitions, independent studies.
+ Oversee assignment of faculty advisors by course planner/administrative assistant.
+ Serve as the primary contact for 3-year track students, including reviewing applications, sending acceptance letters and ongoing advising.
+ Discuss with students their interests in the subject matter and their plans for graduate or professional schools or employment.
+ Participate in the planning of and attend undergraduate events such as open houses, Accepted Student Days, honors receptions, and graduation events.
+ Serve as the primary contact for discussing with each student how to plan an appropriate class schedule, with support from academic advisor, to meet all degree requirements and be knowledgeable about all university and school degree requirements and policies.
+ Complete degree audits for students which ensure that requirements are being met.
+ Clear students for graduation.
+ Review student records and recommend probations and dismissals.
+ Coordinate awarding of School of Business Scholarships using AwardSpring software and working Student Financial Services.
+ Supervise membership procedures and mailing for Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
+ Work with Office of Internships to verify students’ credit eligibility for internships.
+ Work with Center for International Education and oversee advisement of study abroad credits.
+ Work with AUI international students who transition from AUI into business program.
+ Oversee CPT/OPT letters for international student population.
+ Plan and oversee Honors and Awards Ceremony each spring.
+ Other duties as assigned by the Dean.
REQUIREMENTS:
+ The applicant must have significant experience working with diverse students and alumni as well as excellent interpersonal, public communication and facilitation skills.
+ The applicant must be self-directed and able to work independently while developing and maintaining strategic relationships.
+ The applicant must have the capacity for effective collaboration with students, faculty, administrators and employers as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities.
+ The applicant should possess an understanding of the dynamics of higher education as well as effective and creative problem-solving skills.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
+ Master’s Degree in communications, counseling or higher education administration or a similar combination of education and work experience preferred.
+ A minimum of five (5) years of experience in admissions, alumni relations, career development, higher education, marketing or combination thereof is required.
