The Director of Product Management will ensure the team is efficient and effective as they develop a best-in-class experience, deliver competitive features that lives up to our brand promise, create a high-converting customer experience and analyze market trends to identify new opportunities for the future including new sellout platforms.   The position will need to create, sustain and leverage senior management-level relationships throughout the Retail, B2C, B2B, Marketing, Customer service, all LOBs, and the broader technology community. This role demands extremely customer centric mind-set, strong analytical mind, with appetite for innovation, data-centric and can do attitude. Role and Responsibilities

This person will be the primary owner of all product features across our eCommerce platform, and will lead the product team to drive Samsung eCommerce initiatives related toSamsung eCommerce B2C platform and experiences for Product discovery, product consideration and categorization, product purchase (PDP/Configurator) experiences for specific line of business product assortments on the website and app, especially in the areas of home electronics, home appliances and cross category experiences.  Samsung eCommerce B2B platform that define the next generation engaging and high converting experiences for small medium and enterprise business offering Samsung products for sales and servicesLiaison between Samsung eCommerce, Product & corporate Marketing, HQ, Category Mgmt./Sr. Leadership and other local teams of checkout Fulfillment/Fraud/Retail partners for product initiativesInnovate and automate various front-end sellout platform features to reduce manual overhead and improve customer satisfactionInternalize and deeply understand Samsung’s mission and strategies, as well as the mission and objectives of the eCommerce teamWork with cross-functional business, product and engineering team in designing product solution, finalizing estimate, budget and plan/prioritize by building a strong roadmap, and launch product on timely fashion with excellent business impact and strong customer focusDeveloping product strategies to improve revenue share (as percentage of eCom sales) and reduce NPS detractors, and partnering with engineering to ensure strong execution, covering both web and mobile experiencesBe data centric to make informed product direction, whether in the form of competitive intel, customer behavior or other business metrics. Solicit and embrace critical feedbackDrive innovation, definition, deliverables planning (roadmap) and design of entirely new products and features to deliver against team and company goalsDrive cross-functional team to set qualitative objectives and quantitative goalsDrive definition of and execution against product go-to-market plan, including phasing and trainingClearly communicate product plans, benefits and results, as appropriate, to both internal stakeholders and external stakeholdersAbility to work and communicate at ease with cross-functional team across the globeLeader responsible for people management as well as building strong team of product and design team
 

Background and Experience Required

15+ years of experience with 10+ years in Product Management driving product engineeringBachelor’s degree in relevant field required; computer science undergraduate degree or relevant engineering degree plus hands-on software engineering and program management experience strongly preferredTechnical understanding must go from the highest abstractions down to the metal 1Strong eCommerce experience required with technical acumenHaving prior experience on the consumer electronics space is a huge plus especially in the site and app experiences and front-end platforms, headless commerce, AEM, etc.  Experience managing teams across disparate locationsHas strong technical skills and is proficient in Confluence, JIRAStrong background using data to determine customer behaviorsProactive individual that is a self-starter and takes initiativeA “leader” personality - biased toward action, great collaborator and master disambiguator/simplifier - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $265,000 and $300,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
