Job Highlights:

At least 2 years of supervisory experience in the developmental disabilities field serving the adult population is required.

A Qualified Professional (10A NCAC 27G .0104) must have one of the following:

Bachelor degree (non Human Services) with 4 years Full time OR 8 years Part time applicable experience required

Bachelor degree (Human Services) with 2 years Full time OR 4 years Part time applicable experience required

Master degree (Human Services) with 1 year Full time OR 2 years Part time applicable experience required

This Opportunity:The Director of Supported Employment is accountable to the Vice President of Long-Term Services and Support and will be responsible for the operation development and oversight of the Monarch Supportive Employment and Volunteer program. This includes but is not limited to the development of employment opportunities and employment advisement/coaching including career exploration and job placement, training development, job fair attendance, budget management and quality assurance. Additionally, providing supervision through coaching of program’s direct reports.

What You'll Do:

• Oversees program services including job development and employment advising
• Supervises and evaluates department staff including Qualified Professionals, Day services and Community-based Employment Specialists.
• Develops and implements annual budget and staffing plans to meet program requirements and service needs.
• Manage and maintain EMR software, entering members related information.
• Travel throughout Monarch’s catchment area with the purpose of expanding services and building community partnerships.
• Conduct routine site visits throughout Monarch’s catchment area.
• Develops and manages department strategies to meet service goals.
• Develops new contacts with external organizations for the purpose of expanding employment opportunities for clients.
• Maintains accurate client records and employment documentation in agency electronic record-keeping system (EMR).
• Working with established community partners, provide career advising expertise to clients regarding the job-search process, interviewing, resume, and letter writing, and all other facets of career planning
• Conducts workshops, seminars, and other presentations to clients and outside groups on
• job readiness and professional development.
• Creates, compiles, reviews and evaluates departmental reports and statistics.
• Working with the Monarch marketing department, develops and implements marketing strategies to generate opportunities for employers and recruitment of job seekers to the program.
• Shares current workforce development resources to keep up with trends in the labor force.
• Maintains collaborative relationship with local partner agencies.
• Advocates for clients throughout the employment process, as needed
• Maintains client case load, as needed.

• Maintain trainings as required and requested
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations
• Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures
• Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
• Driving and travel may be required.

Education We're Looking For:Bachelors: Human Services, Bachelors (Required), Masters: Human Services

Certifications We're Looking For:Drivers License (Valid) - USA, Qualified Professional (QP) - Monarch-DSM

Experience We're Looking For:Experience working with adults with a mental health diagnosis and/or developmental disabilities, Supervisory experience in the developmental disabilities field serving the adult population.

Schedule:Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)

Target Weekly Hours:40
