About the role

The Director of Strategy Implementation plays a crucial role in shaping Global IT strategic direction, ensuring the clear cascade and delivery of strategy. This exciting position is responsible for leading and evolving the Global IT Strategy Deployment process, partnering with the 9 IT functions to provide direction, support, and coaching to enable them to align to IT Strategy and deliver their own strategies.

As the leader responsible for deploying the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) methodology, you'll be accountable for the growth and quality of the Global IT OKR implementation. This includes facilitating engaging workshops and coaching teams to develop their OKRs, ensuring they understand how these fit into the end-to-end strategy deployment process.

As the enterprise capability leader for OKRs, you'll handle a network of coaches, providing guidance to departments beyond IT. In addition, you’ll be responsible for the WorkBoard application system and lead ongoing improvements in results management processes.

To excel in this role, you'll need to be a strategic thinker capable of confidently leading meetings, coaching senior leaders and evangelising OKRs. You must be a passionate team leader driven by the vision of steering strategic success and making a relevant impact across the organization.

Essential Skills & Capabilities

• Extensive experience of leading strategy planning, implementation, and cascade in large organisations.

• Strong mentor / facilitation experience at all levels of an organisation.

• Shown experience in delivering results leading matrix teams

• Knowledge of OKRs.

• Strong strategic approach and customer service orientation.

• Confident coach.

• Ability to transform ambiguity into clarity.

• Networking; proficient in establishing relationships.

• Storytelling and making pitches to large, diverse groups, and to senior leaders.

• Strong change management and problem solving skills.

• Ability to work well in and across diverse, global teams, and validated ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes.

• Excellence in driving process performance and efficiency improvements (Lean experience a plus).

Desirable Experience

• BA/BSc degree

• Experience with OKR software tools, such as WorkBoard.

• Vendor management

• Able to communicate the potential impact of developments in the IT marketplace on organisations and individuals internal and external to IT

• Functions independently and as a team member (critical thinker who can deliver solutions and drive improvement)

• Consulting skilled
