As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within CIB Markets & CIB Wide, you will lead a team of Cloud Engineers & Architects to drive impact within our CIB LOBs and Firm wide through our partnership with IP. You will utilize your in-depth knowledge of Cloud, software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your team and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

Job responsibilities

Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectivesMakes decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and proceduresCarries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operationsDelivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domainsInfluences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teamsChampions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, opportunity, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience, along with 5+ years of experience leading technologistsExperience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologistsExperience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talentExperience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product ManagerExperience in cloud native developmentExpertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldDemonstrated success in leading a high-performing engineering team
