Position Summary

The Clinical Director has administrative responsibility and accountability for the planning and direction of clinical, financial, and operational activities of a defined outpatient and inpatient clinical unit/department. The incumbent designs, facilitates and directs the delivery of care and service to customers including patients, staff, physicians, family members and community representatives; interprets and develops unit/department patient care standards, provisions of quality health services, resource allocation and fiscal management; defines and monitors the standards of practice, assures availability and appropriate utilization of needed human and material resources, supports collaboration within Patient Services and among other divisions and disciplines for desired patient outcomes, provides positive timely customer service, and participates in efforts to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, or related field required Master’s degree required Current licensure in respective field in the State of Washington Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in both a managerial and supervisory capacity Minimum ten (10) years recent clinical experience preferably in a mental health/psychiatry setting Inpatient hospital experience in a leadership role preferred Internal applicants not meeting the education requirements may be considered

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $149,406.00 - $215,010.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
