What You Will Do The Director of Rehabilitation plays a crucial role in the facility, by overseeing and directing the various therapy staff members, as they guide residents to recovery. The Director of Rehabilitation acts as the Rehab department’s liaison and clinical resource, as needed. Cadia is dedicated to providing the best care possible and that’s where you come in. Responsibilities Screens, evaluates, and treats residents. Set goals, objectives, and supervises staff Therapists, Therapy Assistants, and Therapy Program Coordinators/Aides. Coordinates with therapy contractors, other department heads, and participates in facility meetings. Conducts routine Medicare/Rehabilitation compliance audits. Coordinates the operations of the rehabilitation department to meet resident needs, the Facility’s fiscal requirements and federal, state, and Medicare regulations. Communicates and coordinates the rehabilitation department functions with other departments in a constructive manner that helps build team rapport and effectiveness. Orients, trains, and counsels rehabilitation department employees to achieve and maintain a high standard of care. Identify, achieve and maintains quality of service within the rehab program. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four year college or university in the rehabilitation discipline and current license/certification in State of Maryland required Must possess at least 3 year of experience in rehabilitation and supervision, training and/or experience in a long term care or sub acute setting preferred. Experience implementing infection control practices and procedures is preferred Previous experience using Rehab Optima is preferred.
