( https://gohuskies.com/sports/2023/8/26/ica-candidate-dashboard.aspx) **POSITION PURPOSE** This position provides analytical support to evaluate and identify prospective football recruits for the UW football program. This position will identify and evaluate talent in high school, junior college, and college players who have the potential to contribute to the success of the UW team. The primary responsibilities will be to provide analysis and data on all potential recruits to the supervisor, head coach, and assistant coaches, and will have extensive involvement with offensive, defensive and/or special teams coaches on a daily basis, both collectively and individually. **There are multiple openings for this position** **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Provide the Head Coach with analysis of recruits that involves the editing and cutting of film, data collection and entry, scouting reports, and skill breakdowns, maintaining various concept boards, as well as other duties as assigned. + Collect and analyze extensive practice and game video of recruits. Using independent judgment, identify, determine, and break down specific content (video and statistical), creating a detailed description of strengths and weaknesses of potential players, as well as creating reports and summaries which reflect the data collected and identify tendencies. Create specific reports that provide a detailed analysis for each coaching staff member and their individual specialty needs. This position will be responsible to convey the analysis and results to the specific coaching staff on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. This person will need to have expertise with football specific terminology and strategies. Utilize XOs/Catapult, Microsoft Office, and Google Sheets, and analyze, edit and merge content into presentation platforms. + This position will be expected to actively recruit prospective student-athletes and cultivate relationships with high school coaches. This position will also be responsible for recruit correspondence strategies and plans, through direct mail, social media platforms, phone calls, and other methods of communication. + Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor, Head Football Coach, and/or the Director of Athletics, and are expected to include assisting with a variety of program activities and events such as: on-campus recruiting and recruiting functions, summer camps and high school coach’s clinics, and the organization of current UW student walk-on tryouts. + This position will be involved with all members of the football recruiting staff and football support staff to ensure systems and processes are working efficiently and productively. This position also works closely with other recruiting and compliance staff to ensure NCAA and Conference rules compliance by monitoring the number of contacts and evaluations conducted by the coaching staff with prospective student-athletes.Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Conference, the State of Washington, and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the Employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** + Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in competitive football, playing, coaching and/or operations at the high school, collegiate or professional level. **Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.** **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS** + Prior experience editing and marking video. + Must be proficient in XOs/Catapult, Microsoft Office, and Google Sheets. + Experience in dealing successfully with confidential and sensitive information. + Must be organized, team-oriented, self-motivated, with excellent communication skills. + Must be able to work collaboratively and independently and complete assigned duties efficiently and in a timely manner. **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Experience working within NCAA rules and with football terminology in a Division I-A athletic environment is preferred and highly recommended. **CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT** + This position requires working some evenings and weekends including during holidays. **Application Process:** The application process may include completion of a variety of online assessments to obtain additional information that will be used in the evaluation process.
