You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide leadership to the Grid Solutions EPC Substation business and manage the day to day operations of the procurement department in North America. **How You’ll Make an Impact** + The Director of Purchasing will oversee and manage all aspects of our Grid Solutions EPC Substation purchasing and estimating operations in the US. + Recruit, develop, and manage personnel for Siemens Energy US Substation purchasing, and estimating department. + Negotiate and implement contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standard processes. + Oversee development of department, project, and proposal budgets. **What You Bring** + 4-year University Degree or equivalent experience + 10+ years of relevant experience in the utility, industrial, or commercial construction industry. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa. + Strong knowledge of US construction methods, materials, and building codes with a focus on EPC or Design Build project delivery + Excellent negotiation and construction contract management skills, with a track record of proven experience negotiating large-scale contracts and managing supplier relationships + Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members + Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
