JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Philanthropic Programs will serve as a key member of Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) Foundation’s management team and is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the annual, major and planned giving teams. This individual will growing philanthropy by developing and managing fundraising goals, lead Foundation strategic planning efforts, direct grateful patient fundraising, and provide strategic direction to donor communication, prospect management, and capital campaign activities. The Director of Philanthropic Programs will work with members of the MCHS Foundation team and system leaders to advance philanthropy by developing service line priorities, engage clinicians in Foundation efforts, and promote a culture of gratitude. This individual also develops, cultivates, solicits, and stewards a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors for gifts of $10,000 or more that benefit the philanthropic priorities of MCHS.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree in non-profit management, business, communications, or other related field.
Preferred/Optional: Master’s Degree non-profit management, business, communications, or other related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Five years of fundraising experience and three years management experience required.
Preferred/Optional: Major gift fundraising and/or healthcare fundraising experience preferred
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).
