Overview

The Operations Director II is responsible to plan, coordinate, and organize systems, processes, and employees that define a scalable distribution network for materials and goods to support business and growth objectives.

Primary Responsibilities Direct all aspects of the distribution operation including picking and packing, shipping and receiving, replenishment, production, returns, inventory control management, and maintenance of facilitiesEstablish, evaluate, and maintain performance standards for all areas of the warehouse that can be measured to ensure accountability and client Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Ensure operating efficiencies by constantly reviewing performance to identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement new strategies when neededProvides leadership in cost reduction through continuous process improvements and automation to maintain and enhance margins to sustain profitabilityManage and administer the planning and control systems related to the complete flow of material from receiving through shipping, as well as the associated transactional controls required to support itResponsible for all budgeting and reporting efforts including labor, operating expenses, Profit & Loss and forecastingCoordinate with Client Relations and Sales for the successful implementation of new clientsPartner with the senior management team to strategically plan for future growthAnalyze capacity and capital equipment requirements, client forecasts, business objectives, organizational processes, etcDevelop and execute plans for continual growth and peak seasonsAnticipate future resources, procedures and system requirements as changes in business dictatePerform other related duties as assignedAdditional Primary Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications Bachelor s Degree and 7 years of experience or equivalent education and related experienceStrong organization, multi-tasking and time management skillsWorking knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean MethodologiesDemonstrate clear knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines within their respective industries to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and organizationsProficient with Enterprise Systems such as SAP software and Warehouse Management SystemsWine & Spirits Industry knowledge to include basic understanding of distribution, wine varietals and leading spirit categoriesPhysical Demands Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
