Director of Nursing - Registered Nurse
Reporting to: Director of Patient Services Job Summary: The Director of Nursing - RN is responsible for all registered nurses providing care to True Care clients. He/she works under the DPS to oversee all operations and processes related to nursing. The Director of Nursing - RN interviews, hires, trains and further develops RNs and ensures their productivity meets quotas and compliance regulations. The Director of Nursing - RN manages nurses dedicated to all service lines offered by the company including insurance, private client, facility, and educators. He/she also works on methods to improve our quality of care and serves as a liaison between field nurses and the company. Job Responsibilities: + Maintain adequate field nurse staff in all areas to meet our ongoing nursing needs + Responsible for interviewing, and determining appropriate fit within the company’s nursing department for incoming RNs + Oversight of Field Nurse Manager to ensure RNs are trained and oriented to their roles and the company’s guidelines + Collaborate with the Field Nurse Manager for required competency visits, and ensure quality care and ongoing nursing compliance + Ensure corrective actions are addressed with RNs as needed, including documentation improvement, quality of care, competency, professionalism + Collaborate with the in-house nursing team to ensure quotas are consistently met for RNs and visits are assigned to meet regulations + Evaluate RNs who are not meeting productivity to determine support needed and their appropriateness for the role + Develop trainings and clinical education platforms for Instructors to teach to the caregivers + Evaluate Instructors to ensure compliance and education are held to a high standard and meets regulatory requirements + Oversight of facility RNs and Private Client RNs and LPNs ensuring appropriate RNs are assigned to cases based on skill level, and point of contact for nursing support and clinical compliance + Train new Managers as required and structuring a follow up process to ensure the Manager and other nursing personnel are successful in their roles + Collaborate with other departments to ensure True Care is meeting patients needs and the relationship continues to flourish + Responsible for private Client RNs and LPNs + Collaborate with Private Pay Manager and coordination team regarding private pay clinical needs + Collaborate with Director of Infusions for Private pay infusion cases + Oversee ongoing nursing training and compliance needs are met + Assist DPS with other projects as assigned Job Requirements: + RN license from an accredited Nursing School in NYS + Minimum of 3-5years experience in supervisory or administrative Nursing role + Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office + Knowledgeable of all NYSDOH and HHA regulations + Strong communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills + The ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment; able to adapt to a multicultural organization True Care provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, religion, color, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, age, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, disability, or any other basis prohibited by applicable federal, state, or local law.
