STARTING RATE: $85,000 annual salary ($85,000 to $95,000 annual salary, depending on experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Nursing plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with all state, federal and local guidelines/regulations to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in planning delivery of care Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to care for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neuro & dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, TPN, infectious disease, and wound care if applicable Provides nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures and ensures the safety and well-being of the residents is maintained Attends all mandatory in-services by the employee’s anniversary date to include Alzheimer-specific training Maintains and updates New York State license in compliance with New York Stateregulations Acts appropriately under the direction of the RN Day Supervisor and acts as an active member of the interdisciplinary team
