We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused leader to join our leadership team as Director of Front Office Operations for the unique and beautiful La Quinta Resort & Club. The successful candidate for this role will have a proven track record of developing a team to provide exceptional service, is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally. In collaboration with the General Manager, the Director of Front Office Operations will lead the Front Office team (Front Desk, PBX and Bell Services) to provide exceptional service to our guests. This person will maintain established quality standards, lead the training efforts to influence the company culture and the drive to maintain service standards. This position has influence of long range goals and planning. You will oversee the Front Office operations to lead the team in helping guests discover their “Wanderlust” experience You will be the leader of the Service Culture You will develop and mentor a leadership team You will ensure proper training materials are in place and used by each department. Implement coaching, career planning and recognition programs for all associates. You will lead the team to ensure revenue maximization and accurate forecasting of occupancy. Participates in Revenue Optimization Committee (ROC) meetings You will lead by example to ensure all guest interactions are handled in a professional manner. Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest Help to resolve problems and “WOW” guests through recovery when things aren’t quite right Works closely with the hotel teams to communicate and coordinate the day Interact with hotel/resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information Benefits of this Opportunity: Career advancement opportunities You will develop and mentor the Front Office leadership team Incremental increases of hourly rate Responsibility for scheduling front desk staff A voice in management decisions Participation in the hiring process The capacity to improve the business Additional Responsibilities: Understand and possess all the necessary skills relative to all of the jobs that you are responsible to train Handle the interviewing and hiring of all front desk, bell service and pbx personnel Prepare front desk schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines Assist in labor management; provide supervision according to the productivity standards of our hotel and our company. Complete the training and certification of all front desk, bellperson, and pbx personnel Attend all required meetings Review the job performance of all staff within Pyramid Guidelines Conduct necessary meetings and ongoing training Maintain the condition of your area and equipment Insure that you are in accordance with all Pyramid Hotels accounting standards Follow all standards set forth by the hotel and the company General Duties As a Director of Front Office Operations, your job is to supervise the front desk staff, guest service representatives (bell service staff), PBX operators. You will also be expected to communicate on a daily basis with the night audit manager. Qualifications The Qualities Necessary to Succeed: At least 3-5 years of hospitality experience is required. College degree or equivalent combination of education training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is required. Hilton Brand experience a plus.
