Summary:
The Director of Finance will oversee the management reporting analysis, maintaining strong procedures and financial acumen. The Director of Finance will report directly to the Regional CFO and will have financial oversight of the Canadian Employee Benefits (EB) line of business. The right candidate will be entrepreneurial in nature and be able to work independently in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly management reporting process including financial and operational reports and presentationsLead interface with executive and corporate department management. Including communicating results in leadership meetings.Provide financial analysis of results to all appropriate parties on a quality, accurate and timely basis.Proactively determine the information needs of business leaders and provide it on a quality, accurate and timely basis.Lead all financial analysis and research related activities.Drive continuous improvement across all job duties to ensure that results are reliable and consistently reportedManage the employee benefits financial analysis and reporting team and work with the regional finance teams to provide financial reporting and analysis deliverables to regional leadershipServe as internal business consultant on issues relating to profitability, internal controls, planning, budgeting, system enhancements, acquisitions etc.Possess full understanding of all job related systems including general ledger, and operations systems.Lead interface with the M&A team and potential acquisition partners for Canadian employee benefits and retirement acquisition opportunitiesManage the annual budget processManage the monthly forecast preparation via interface with regional leadership. Protecting the assets of the Company through the development and maintenance of effective and efficient internal controls.Assist corporate management on projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in FP&A, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
CPA designation is preferred
Experience with Hyperion, Oracle (preferably Cloud based Fusion)
Advanced ability to effectively communicate with all company stakeholders both internal and external
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Excellent decision-making skills
Advanced skills utilizing MS Office Suite (Excel)

The expected salary range for this position is $145,000 to $160,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
