In this role, you will manage all employment law functions and serve as a liaison to the Human Resources leadership team. As a key member of the legal group, you'll regularly partner with executives, HR team members, and outside counsel. Additionally, you will lead a lean but effective team responsible for internal investigations and corporate policy. 

The ideal candidate has extensive employment law experience and a proven track record of successfully leading teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to stay on top of changes and complexities in this space are essential. Highlights of your role Act as a trusted advisor to the company and provide critical legal and strategic advice on a range of sophisticated issues involving employees and workers. Ensure compliance with laws in states where Marvin operates, including wage and hours, paid and unpaid leave, etc. Provide clear, timely guidance to the HR team on employment laws around hiring, performance management, discrimination and harassment, compensation and benefits, termination issues, and more. Lead Ethics and Compliance functions including the preparation, deployment, and maintenance of corporate policies as well as internal investigations. Communicate and provide training on employment-related topics in a clear and structured manner.  Compensation $190,929 - $210,000 annually, with bonus opportunity! You're a good fit if you have (or if you can) Previous experience with employment laws regarding hiring, hourly distributed workforce management, employee relations, leaves of absence and accommodations, discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, and more. Experience with labor relations and union issues is a plus. Demonstrable ability to effectively and proactively provide quick, concise, and practical legal advice.  Also want to make sure you have Juris Doctor Degree with strong academic credentials. Minimum of 10+ years of substantive labor and employment experience within a corporate legal department and/or a top-tier law firm. Willingness to travel to domestic company facilities as needed (estimate ~10%).  We invite you to See Yourself at Marvin
