The Director of Corporate Outreach and Career Development for Touro University's Graduate School of Technology is responsible for directing and coordinating career planning/placement services and training students and alumni in the job search process. This role will also provide individual counseling, instruction, and assistance to students and alumni concerning all aspects of career planning and placement.

Responsibilities Establish and maintain corporate contacts to identify suitable internships opportunities and open positions.Intercede with companies on behalf of the students and alumni.Assist students with creating resumes and job targeted cover letters or emails.Prepare students and alumni for job interviews through mock interviews.Advise students and alumni on any current or future positions through weekly listings.Track the progress of the support that the students and alumni receive.Encourage students and alumni to use Handshake.Work with Touro GST alumni to find opportunities for the students or graduates.Arrange a Career Night presentation each semester that provides students and alumni with valuable and timely career and employment information.Arrange a yearly Recruitment Night to present students with internship and job opportunities.Arrange a yearly event for alumni and student networking.Collaborate with the GST staff to maintain and update the GST Career Services webpage.Track and report on alumni employment information.Participate in professional career services organizations and keep abreast of current developments in the field.Present Career Services at the new student orientations. Qualifications Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree required3 or more years of experience in corporate outreach and career development roles in higher education highly desired.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesProven track record of collaborating with a diverse range of organizations facilitating potential placement opportunities for students.Effective communication (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate to a variety of levels management (including executive leadership) required.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.An understanding and sensitivity to multi-cultural values, beliefs, and attitudes of both internal and external contacts.
