Director of Content and Thought Leadership Strategy
Job Description SummaryJoin our dynamic team as Director of Content and Thought Leadership Strategy, where you'll play a key role in leading GE HealthCare’s corporate brand storytelling and thought leadership with the goal of driving brand reputation, awareness, engagement, and business outcomes. This position will lead development of strategy as well as the creation of owned content across web, social and other mediums.

Reporting to the Global Head of Public Affairs, this role will have one direct report that currently leads storytelling, content creation, SEO and organic content creation, and will work closely with the Brand advertising, governance, social media and communications leads across the company.

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop a clear perspective and strategy for our brand through insights, data, and collaboration with business leaders and communications to define where we need to go and adjustments needed over time, including alignment and collaboration across communications teams.

Drive Corporate Narrative: Build/revise a corporate narrative and message architecture based on business goals that provides global messaging framework for the GE HealthCare brand. Enhance and ensure our messaging addresses customer challenges, commissioning or sourcing research, data and insights from across the organization.

Integrated Planning: Develop integrated campaign strategies while partnering with corporate social/paid media/web teams to maximize results across owned, earned, shared and paid media, as well as other innovative platforms. Influence business segments & regions to enable a global impact.

Content Creator: Lead the strategy and execution of amplifying GE Healthcare’s voice as an industry leader with high-impact content, storytelling and thought leadership across respected platforms that drive desired outcomes with audiences.  Be able to translate complex cross-business messaging, technology and science into compelling corporate messaging that guides the company and business segments to drive key value propositions. Develop consistent brand stories that resonate across different platforms, including, but not limited to, digital marketing campaigns and paid media initiatives.

Performance Measurement: Analyze metrics to derive customer insights and inform future strategies while helping inform internal stakeholders of key learnings.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Arts, English or a related field.

8+ years of experience of digital marketing, web editorial or content strategy experience within marketing, brand, corporate communications or agency environments.

Entrepreneurial leadership, a self-starter mindset and collaborative spirit.

Proven B2B content strategy experience and results.

Exceptional collaborative skills, proactively reach out across the org and build relationships in a complex org with many segments and regions.

Effective communication and presentation skills

Sound knowledge of content management systems, keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM).

Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Excellent data analytical skills.

Desired Characteristics:

Knowledge of B2B healthcare industry and AI a strong plus including knowledge of working/marketing in a regulated environment.

Entrepreneurial person who can self-educate around products and business strategies.

Dependability – high ratio for delivering on commitments and goals.

Knowledge of championing a brand and storytelling in a regulated healthcare landscape.
