The Director will oversee all content creation for the Strong Families & Communities Training Center (SFC), including marketing materials and the Center’s website, and act as the primary manager of the Center’s Learning Management System (LMS). Additionally, they will be closely involved in communication efforts within the community and with select non-profit partners, collaborating with a variety of external stakeholders such as community-based organizations, Youth Peer Advocates, Family Advocates, mental health professionals, government agencies, and other providers.

 

They will manage the Center’s LMS, facilitating trainings for hundreds of direct service professionals annually. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operation, utilization, and delivery of the LMS. As the subject matter expert, the Director will also handle reporting and analytics for the SFC Center's LMS.

 

Salary Range: $77,112-$84,412/year 

Responsibilities

Essential functions of the Job:

Responsible for directing the activities of the SFC center within the organization, ensuring all business goals and objectives are reached. This includes managing the productivity of the department, overseeing data collection and documentation of outcomes, drafting reports, tracking, measuring, and analyzing participant engagement across various digital marketing channels (such as Instagram, Google Analytics), setting goals, and guiding the overall external communications strategy for the SFC Center. Additionally, overseeing the collection and reporting of process and impact indicators for all core areas of the Center, under the oversight of the AVP/VP.Identify and recommend media pitches and story ideas to The Foundling’s media relationsOversee and manage content for the Center’s website (https://foundlingcommunitytrainings.org/).Build strong relationships with Center staff and other Foundling departments and work closely with community-based organizations, mental health professionals, and City agencies in order to collaborate effectively, share resources, and provide comprehensive support and services to the community.Adopt a strength focused approach with families, stakeholders, and within the SFC Center.Assist in writing reports, concept papers and other materials needed for theAttending all required agencyAttending all required community events, including meetings with external partners including community-based organizations.Proactively maintain communication with AVP and VP of the SFC on advances andTimely data entry of all services practices of the program in agency record and for reporting, and other system asReceive supervision from NY Foundling leadership. Attend mandatory weekly supervision and consultation on-site at identified location by supervisor or AVP.Ability to maintain a flexible schedule that can allow work from field, office, stakeholder offices, or other location, and as needed for programming and meeting deliverables.

Learning Management System:

Assign roles to learners and subscribers in the LMS, set up training, schedule, and tracking to meet program and overall agency needs.Audit and monitor LMS user data and support the development of new reports and dashboards that will be used for ongoing improvement and compliance.Provide training to all SFC and FYPS Alliance staff on LMS functionality, usage and reporting.Collaborate with NYF IT & Program Quality Analyst as needed to test systems that impact and pull from the LMS.Support SFC center and External partners with trouble shooting and user questions related to internal trainings offered through the SFC and Fontana Center to the public.Provide technical guidance about LMS standards related to SFC and compliant with DOHMH and accessibility regulations.Will meet department productivity expectations, as established by senior management, participate in monthly/quarterly meetings, support with training space as needed and support with producing training materials.Will participate in monthly team meetings, maintain computerized training reports for funders, upon requestWill stay abreast of current issues, trends, and knowledge in the human service field.With support from AVP/VP of SFC Center will attend necessary program meetings to ensure that LMS meets their needs and required curriculum and tracking procedures are set up in LMS. board includes appropriate community agencies, entities and individuals.

Engagement and Communication with External partners:

Write and manage the creation and distribution of all communications and marketing materials (print and digital) for The Foundling’s SFC Training Center. This includes: brochures, handouts, training information and presentations, programmatic overviews, a monthly digital newsletter, promotional videos, social media content, outreach letters, andDevelop an annual communications, marketing, and outreach plan, incorporating advertising strategies for Community Based Organization (CBOs) and partnering with members of theDevelop and strengthen partnerships and collaborative relationships with community-based coalitions across New York City and track the participation of Center staff in NYC and NYS committees, consortiums, and meetings across child-serving

Salary Range: $77,112-$84,412/year

Bachelor's degree in communications and/or related fields

Must have at least 3 years’ experience in Learning Management system and be proficient in LMS Functionality.

 

Digital Proficiency:

Proficient in managing digital software.

Ability to handle marketing content and course content effectively.

Ensuring all messaging and courses are consistent, impactful, and drive the desired outcome.

 

Project Management Skills:

Strong project management skills to coordinate various tasks and ensure timely completion.

 

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and make data-driven decisions.
