As an accomplished IT professional, you will join our organization as a Technical Director of Clinical IT Operations. This role requires an individual with strong technical skills and experience with healthcare, a passion for academic collaboration, and a commitment to driving excellence in both clinical operations and academic initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the integration of technology with dual roles as director as well as engineer.

Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:Through collaboration with system wide leaders and technical engineers, execute a comprehensive strategic plan for clinical IT operations and academic alignment, supporting the University System’s mission and academic goals.Collaborate with IT Leaders and Engineers, academic, research and clinical staff to develop and integrate innovative technologies into educational programs and clinical practices.Clinical Systems Management:Implement, optimize, and maintain clinical information systems and alignment with academic initiatives.Drive innovation in healthcare technology within clinical workflows, focusing on enhancing both patient care, telemedicine, and educational experiences.Academic Collaboration:Build vendor partnerships, fostering collaborative projects that integrate IT solutions into academic and clinical settings.Lead initiatives to enhance academic curricula through the incorporation of emerging technologies and best practices.Innovation Management and leadership:Identify opportunities for innovation in clinical and academic settings, evaluating emerging trends and technologies in healthcare IT and education.Champion a culture of innovation within the organization by supporting research projects, academic collaborations, and technology-driven learning experiences.Build consensus and lead multidisciplinary teams, including clinical systems analysts, academic coordinators, and project managers.Promote a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, academic excellence, and the pursuit of innovative solutions.Quality Assurance and Compliance:Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes for clinical IT operations and academic initiatives.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, academic accreditation standards, and best practices.Leverage the current staff and institutional investments to implement standards designed to optimize revenue and cost while averting risks.SecurityImplement a system that is HIPPA compliant, following NIST standards with a goal of Hitrust certification to optimize potential for revenue growth and partnership potential.Standardize policies and procedures while reducing risks associated with vendors and data loss.Leverage modern data practices to ensure data, vendors and hosted service providers have appropriate security measures in place and exceed HIPAA regulations ensuring availability, confidentiality, and integrity of data.Implement a security strategy, in partnership of Information Security, to meet the needs of research, clinical specialties and university data. Qualifications

Education/ Experience

4 or more years as a technology professional.Certifications in cybersecurity and cloud providers.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

Experience in the healthcare /academic setting preferred.Microsoft Azure and Amazon InfrastructureCloud-based networking standardsRegulatory knowledge, aligned to ISO, HIPAA and SOC 2 assessmentExperience with RBAC, and PowerShell scripting.Experience working with "Team-Based Practices," like Agile, KanbanAbility to work on multiple concurrent projects.Ability to follow standard change management processes. Document and evaluate the impact of required changes to the various systems: plan, schedule, and communicate.Ability to understand and follow sometimes complex oral and written instructions.

Travel

As needed, infrequentFlexible working hours, with the occasional possibility of work outside standard hours including weekends. Maximum Salary USD $150,000.00/Yr. Minimum Salary USD $120,000.00/Yr.
