Aplin is seeking a Director of Business Development & Marketing to join a highly respected professional services firm based out of Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta. What they offer:You’ll enjoy a hybrid work setup with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week after your three-month probationary period35 hour work week, 8:30-4:30Excellent benefits: Extended Health, Dental, Travel, EFAP and moreRRSP matchingSocial eventsDuties & Responsibilities:Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies that align with objectives, identifying new opportunities, market trends, and competitive insights.Work closely with leadership to define and prioritize business initiatives while overseeing marketing campaigns across digital platforms, social media, content marketing, and events.Lead targeted initiatives to attract and retain clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.Develop and execute engagement programs to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team while fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture.Provide ongoing training and professional development, set performance goals, and conduct regular reviews with constructive feedback.Ensure a consistent and strong brand identity across all materials and communications by overseeing the creation of high-quality marketing collateral.Manage online presence, including website content and social media, and coordinate public relations efforts such as media relations and speaking engagements.Conduct market research to identify opportunities and emerging trends, analyze market data to inform strategic decision-making, and monitor competitor activities to develop effective differentiation strategies.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development and marketing.Experience within the Professional Services industry is required.Proven track record of developing and executing successful business development and marketing strategies.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Deep understanding of market research and analysis techniques.Proficiency in digital marketing, social media, and content marketing.High level of professionalism and integrity.
