Director of Applications - Revenue Cycle

Work where you matter.** **A Brief Overview** Responsible for the design, development, enhancement, utilization and oversight of key clinical information systems. Other responsibilities include: initiate joint planning and strategic activities to develop, implement and maintain clinical software applications, implement and maintain an environment which meets current and anticipated business requirements and objectives, as well as provide the improved technology products and service delivery processes which support such business strategies. The Director - Applications will direct and manage all aspects of Clinical Applications. Must interact and communicate effectively with all levels of staff in the organization including board members, senior management, physicians and various other clinical and non-clinical staff. **What you will do** + Responsible for the strategic and tactical management of all aspects of Clinical Applications operations, projects, and IT service improvement efforts. + Responsible for establishing strategic plans, policies, and procedures at all levels so service improvement efforts will meet or exceed internal and external customers' needs and expectations. + Develops, submits, and implements workforce and organization plans for the department that will assure growth and development of the organization and its personnel in line with organizations strategic initiatives and plans. Provides capacity planning decisions for IT. + Evolves and matures new services and technologies as directed by the Vice President – Enterprise Applications. Collaborates with the Avera Health Information Technology Leadership to assist in successful preparation for and implementation of the Avera EMR. + Develop and manage to system performance standards and customer support service level agreements. + Acts as the liaison between the Avera Health IT Department, hospitals, physician practices, and vendors. Coordinate interdepartmental networking requirements and services. + Work directly with a wide variety of clinical leadership staff to develop and enhance the effective use of clinical information systems. + Reports progress on all IT projects, resource utilization, and production performance to the Executive Director. + Reviews requests for additional clinical information applications services and identified impacts on current planned resources. + Directs the preparation of information systems operating expenses and capital budgets. Administers these budgets and reports regularly on budget status. + Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. **Essential Qualifications** The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
