About the Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy

The Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, launched in 2021, brings together the university's extensive public policy expertise under one academic home, offering comprehensive education from undergraduate through doctoral levels. Our faculty's global perspective and interdisciplinary approach drives innovative solutions to pressing policy challenges across areas of excellence including data science, environmental sustainability, health policy, and social inequality. The school's institutes and programs extend our impact through cutting-edge scholarship and meaningful public engagement. As a hub for policy research and education, we're committed to addressing systemic inequities and developing evidence-based solutions for complex societal challenges.

The Opportunity

Lead a dynamic alumni engagement program that bridges the past, present, and future of the Brooks School. You'll create meaningful connections between accomplished alumni and today's scholars while supporting the school's strategic priorities through:

Designing and executing high-impact events and programs that showcase faculty research and student achievements

Building and managing influential volunteer networks and advisory boards

Developing targeted engagement strategies for diverse alumni populations

Overseeing alumni communications and publications

Collaborating with development colleagues to strengthen the donor pipeline

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience in alumni relations, development, or related field

Proven track record in events management and volunteer leadership

Excellence in relationship-building and strategic communications

Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders

Strong project management and multitasking abilities

Ability to work some evenings/weekends for events and willingness to travel approximately 2 nights a month.

This position is based in Ithaca, NY with hybrid work arrangements.
