Director of Accounting-Development Properties

Make an impact

As the Director of Accounting, you will oversee the financial operations for development properties across various sectors. You should be well-versed in current accounting principles and practices, especially in the development and construction fields.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrate and manage multiple accounting teams.Handle construction, development, and joint venture accounting for different asset types.Assess and improve the organization's financial performance.Build credibility for the accounting team by providing timely and accurate financial reports and budget assessments.Develop and enforce policies to enhance overall operational efficiency.Establish a reputation as a solution-oriented professional.Offer technical financial advice within the organization.Create reliable cash flow forecasts with a focus on meeting operational needs.Provide financial insights on company contracts.Evaluate the finance division's structure for ongoing improvement.Support team members' professional growth and development.

What you should bring

Strong knowledge of Yardi and Yardi Construction Manager preferred.Ability to explain complex financial concepts to various audiences.Up-to-date understanding of accounting processes.Experience in preparing financial statements.Ability to interpret a strategic vision into an operational model.Ability to successfully partner with IT staff to manage critical financial management systems. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization.
