**Director - Next Step Clinic** **Job Details** **Job Location** WHCG - Milwaukee, WI **Position Type** Part Time **Education Level** Doctorate Degree **Travel Percentage** Up to 25% **Job Shift** 1st Shift **Job Category** Health Care **Description** **Job Purpose:** This leadership and clinical position provides oversight of the Next Step Clinic and manages clinical screening, testing, and evaluation of children who have developmental and/or mental health issues. In cooperation with Marquette University, this position provides training to future mental health professionals (doctoral clinical and doctoral school psychology), nurses, and medical providers in the services offered through the Next clinic. **Essential Job Functions:** (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.) • Coordinate diagnostic evaluations. • Designing evaluation protocol based on referral information • Testing children/interviewing parents • Provide training and supervision to practicum students in the following areas: assessment administration, testing analysis, case coordination, report writing, diagnosis, issues of access, equity & inclusion, recommendations, ASD treatment, support, funding resources and decision making, autism spectrum disorder diagnosis and current topics and issues, co-occurring conditions • Communicate with graduate programs about practicum opportunity • Interview prospective graduate students for practicum annually • Maintain partnerships with community providers to support timely service access • Coordinate with family navigators on cases and scheduling for in-clinic and referrals out of the clinic. • Tracking client appointments and services in EHR. • Manage data storage and share reports with families and stakeholders (managing ROIs). • Other duties as assigned. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** • Performs human resources responsibilities for employees, including onboarding, training, coaching on performance, completing performance reviews, and improving overall employee morale. Recommends hiring, terminations, compensation changes, promotions, corrective action decisions, and terminations. Reviews and approves accurate time reports. • Responsible for ensuring that employees' personal actions are supervised and comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the program funders, contracts, and CFI business. **Qualifications** **Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure, and Credentials:** _(Where appropriate,_ _education and/or experience may be substituted)_ **Minimum Required Education:** PhD-Psychology. **Minimum Required Experience:** Minimum of5 years’ experience in clinical testing, diagnosis, and assessment of children and adolescents. Preferably with children or adolescents with autism. At least one year of experience leading and developing staff members performing jobs of varying responsibility **.** **Required License/Certification/Registration** : Psychologist License within Wisconsin. **Travel Type:** Up to 25% **Required Valid Driver’s License:** Valid Wisconsin driver’s license. **Required Auto Insurance:** Vehicle liability insurance in accordance with Agency policy. **Knowledge – Skills – Abilities:** + Effective communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. + Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to individuals and audiences. + Effectively communicate complex ideas and instructions to others. + Ability to effectively communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written form. + Competent in administering screenings, assessments, and documentation for children. + Knowledge of the service continuum and network for children and service providers in Milwaukee County. + Promotes organizational mission and goals and shows how to achieve them. + Focuses on results and desired outcomes and how best to achieve them. + Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight. + Knowledge of using work-related tools such as computers, cell phones, texting, photocopiers, and Microsoft Office applications such as Teams and Outlook. **Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:** **Physical Requirements** :On occasion must be able to push/pull/lift/move objects weighing at least 20 pounds. Must have the ability to climb at least two flights of stairs. Work is performed largely in the community but may at times include an office environment or other various settings. **Visual Acuity** : The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal. **Working Conditions** : Ability to successfully deal with change and potentially stressful situations. This position is in anoffice environment andrequires the occasional use of stairs. Distinguish when non-communicative consumers need support and converse clearly with consumers and family members frequently.
