The role you’ll contribute:
The Leadership Institute Director provides operational oversight to the Leadership Institute, supporting AdventHealth leadership development needs.
The critical nature of the Institute requires broad business and leadership knowledge, deep expertise in adult learning methodology, as well as experience in mission-focused organizations. The successful candidate manages Institute operations, multiple vendor partnerships, program logistics, executive engagements and mentorship networks.
In partnership with leadership development curriculum facilitators, the Leadership Institute Director ensures adult learning systems are employed to deliver optimal educational and experiential learning.
The Leadership Institute Director demonstrates strong project management experience to oversee the operational execution of multiple/ongoing offerings, but not limited to:
Leadership development for high potential leaders
A menu of development services that can be accessed by any executive as a part of their ongoing development either in person or through a virtual classroom environment
Industry expert presentations on select topics as needed by the organization
Clinical leadership development curriculum
Leadership books and materials including a history of AdventHealth
Mission and faith-based leadership curriculum
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Leverages project and program management skills to ensure effective and efficient Institute operations
Leads AdventHealth Leadership Institute program execution
Designs curriculum content by understanding business needs and planned long-term strategic direction
Directs the overall educational program for specified areas, helping to support AdventHealth vision and strategic goals
Collaborates with strategic internal and external partners to support co-sponsored educational programs and thought leadership initiatives
Identifies emerging leadership development trends and incorporates in program design as appropriate
Partners with key stakeholders in designing, developing, and executing effective leadership development programs
Establishes appropriate learning metrics to evaluate programs effectiveness, impact and ROI
Partners closely with the Learning Office and integrates the use of multiple learning methodologies
Ensures delivery of optimal educational and experiential learning opportunities
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Minimum Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Education, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field; Master’s degree strongly preferred
Minimum of seven years of operational and management experience
Demonstrated leadership abilities within a corporate environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
Certificate in at least one recognized assessment tool (i.e. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), DiSC Behavioral Assessment, etc.); OR
Certification/Certificate in one or more of the following:
o Project Management
o Change Management
o Instructional Design
o Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), or Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) through the Association for Talent Development (ATD)
