This will include direct responsibility for administration, profit and loss of the business unit, growth initiatives, enhancing organizational capability and providing the optimum structure to execute the plans and general management of the country business. A technical background in Fire Engineering, deep industry knowledge, a strong network, and a proven track record of securing high-value contracts in Fire & Life Safety consulting along with financial business acumen will be the critical requirements for this role. In this role you will be responsible for directing diverse projects providing specialty fire protection engineering consulting expertise, technical analysis, project delivery and performance While operating out of the Jensen Hughes office in Mumbai, this role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that align with the company's goals, and P&L objectives for India business **Responsibilities:** + Develop and execute long-term and short- term strategies ensuring compliance with corporate policies and practices delivering results in line with forecasts and expectations , while ensuring that customers’ technical quality and delivery requirements are satisfied + Develop and build a high performing team; ensuring that the staff are adequately trained to perform their duties creating a culture of ‘can do’ and ensuring high levels of staff engagement and productivity providing regular, timely communications and feedback to employees ensuring a consistent application of standards, values, and improvement tools , guiding them through their career development and diversification of skillsets as required + Build and maintain effective relations with clients to enhance the company reputation leading to major customer proposals and contracts ,serving as a key relationship partner for high level customer engagements while ensuring that reports and quotes satisfy requirements for contract review, technical content, minimizing legal risk in appliable compliance standards + Manage budgets, financial results, providing regular updates to key stakeholders highlighting initiatives, progress and recommendations + Evaluate performance and adjust strategies based on emergent opportunities and risks + Stay updated on fire and life safety regulations, codes (NFPA, etc.), and industry best practices as well as Jensen Hughes standards, ensuring compliance with local and international fire safety standards in all projects providing efficient leadership through participation in industry events, conferences, and networking forums , championing innovation and continuous improvement to drive growth and optimize business results + In partnership with the leadership team generate critical growth customers/clients and projects and ensure an aligned structure, staffing, skills and operational and technical capabilities to achieve growth objectives continuously reviewing forecasts and pipeline versus operational capability and initiate/recommend appropriate changes to establish the business as an entity that sets and consistently meets expectations **Qualifications & Experience:** + Strong existing network within the India market and sold Business Development and Client relationship skills + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Protection, or a related Engineering field along with **15+** years of demonstrable experience related to fire protection and life safety industry with the last 5 years in a senior Managerial role delivering business targets + Should possess technical expertise related to Fire protection, Fire Suppression, Life Safety and Professional designation desirable (i.e., Professional Engineering License) + Strong negotiation, presentation, and leadership abilities along with proven track record in securing large contracts and partnerships and established connections with industry stakeholders and decision-makers + Strong ability with financial and budgetary processes and considerable experience in project management, people management, and operations led business development efforts + Entrepreneurial and having a successful track record of building, developing, positively engaging, and inspiring a diverse team of employees to elevate levels of performance while meeting the Business targets + Good understanding of business financials ,and able to evaluate business metrics and adjust operational execution to achieve desired results + Excellent organizational, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. + Willing to travel across India as required **Why you should join Jensen Hughes** + You will work on exciting, challenging and at times groundbreaking designs and projects with market-leading clients whilst having the backing of a leading international firm. + There is continued support from the senior leadership team with a measured and flexible approach to carrying out day to day activities. + Career advancement with an established framework is in place – clearly defining expectations and outlining opportunities for advancement. \#LI-SR1 **_Jensen Hughes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
