Location:  This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations in California.

The Director II Sales is responsible for directing account management retention and upsell activities for large complex strategic accounts with medical and specialty products.   This position will lead a team managing a book of business with approximately 600,000 members and $750 million in revenue.   This position will also co-lead the entire state-wide strategic account teams alongside two other directors.

Provides leadership and strategic direction to a high performing account management team.Develops strategies and executes sales plans to achieve persistency and financial goals.Develops and executes on client stewardship plans.Develops solutions to client requests related to systems, finance, clinical support, etc.Promotes company culture through building and leading a successful team that is committed to execution, collaboration, and a positive environment.A leader who understands the evolving healthcare market and the potential implications on Elevance Health’s business, including customer segment priorities, the need for greater competitive differentiation, emerging customer needs, value-driven health care, etc.Develop and cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders (including clients, brokers, industry groups, and public sector representatives) and internal stakeholders (including underwriting, legal, operations and senior management).Collaborate across the enterprise to drive innovation and improve cost of care and quality of care/outcomes for members, customers, and other key stakeholders.Develops and motivates staff to achieve common goals.Develops staff to manage complex clients and become trusted advisors to our largest CA based customers.Develops and implements strategies to create a superior customer value proposition and positions Elevance Health CA Strategic Accounts as an industry leader.Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.Reports to the Regional Vice president, Southern California & Strategic Accounts.The position will require some state-wide travel based upon customer locations.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 8 years of professional/leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $165, 264 to $270, 432.
