Your Role:
As the Director Global Strategic Projects, you are responsible for the identification, scoping, and delivery of strategic projects across the >10b USD Life Science sector. Reporting to the Head of Global Strategy and Market Intelligence, you will independently seek out and develop opportunities to drive strategic projects, leading a wide range of stakeholders towards a common goal. More specifically, this role involves:

Identifying, scoping, initiating, and leading strategic efforts supporting MilliporeSigma’s global strategySupporting and improving execution of strategic efforts in the broader organization, proactively identifying interdependencies and opportunities for improvementPreparing strategic decisions for MilliporeSigma’s executive leadership  Shape strategic priorities through an in-depth understanding of the organization, its customers, and competitorsLead cross-functional teams in project delivery, incl. delivery of multiple efforts simultaneously

Who You Are

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in business and/or natural sciences8+ years experience developing and delivering strategic projects at the top level of complex organizations, e.g., in management consulting and corporate strategy roles, with a focus on the life science, biopharma, and/or biotech space (5+ years experience with a natural sciences PhD and/or MBA)Proven track record of project leadership tackling strategic, high-criticality challenges Experience mobilizing and leading cross-functional teams with wide ranges of skillsets and backgroundsAbility to build trust-based relationships across a wide range of stakeholders and to drive diverse interests towards alignmentAbility to rapidly ramp up into new content and contextExperience developing effective documents and presentations on complex strategic topics at paceAbility to prioritize across competing demands for attention and capacityUnderstanding of the life science ecosystem, biopharma value chain, and market dynamics

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the life science tools and bioprocessing spacePostgraduate degree in business and/or natural sciencesProject management certifications, especially in agile project delivery

 

Location: Burlington, MA (3+ days/week in the office); 10% travel incl. international
