Director Financial Planning and M&A

**DESCRIPTION**
As Director FP&A and M&A, you are a key contributor to the overall success of Acosta. You will provide financial planning and analysis leadership to the Office of CFO and Executive Leadership Team through engagement with the Operational Finance teams at each business unit and various regional teams, providing insight into financial performance and guiding performance improvements to achieve annual goals. Additionally, you will work closely with the CFO and SVP Finance, along with the Strategy Team, to coordinate valuation specialists, bankers, legal, and tax across third parties in addition to the coordination across the CFO’s organization and broader Acosta team to enable the smooth operational execution of integration and synergy tracking of any acquisition. The role reports to the SVP Finance – FP&A, Transformation, and M&A and will have regular exposure to the Senior Leadership Team.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**FP&A:**
+ Support corporate FP&A team to develop monthly board and business reporting decks, financial operating reports, business cases, quarterly forecasting, periodic reviews.
+ Develop and maintain long-term corporate model for use with annual and long-term planning
+ Support development of company’s reporting strategy, including KPI’s, BI dashboard posture, financial reporting systems, standard reporting definitions.
+ Role will improve analytics and ensure strong financial controls and timely and accurate financial reporting
+ Prepare ad hoc management and board materials for quarterly and interim board meetings, management committee discussions, and other meetings
+ Collaborate with other functions (Strategy, Commercial, Business, IT, Human Resources) on development of KPI’s to roll out through the organization
+ Support finance activity related to ownership group exit
+ Prepare quarterly earnings materials for lender reporting requirements
**M&A and Integration:**
+ Integration of Completed Acquisitions:
+ Develop and execute the integration plan, synergy and execution while supporting a team of cross-functional leaders to orchestrate impactful execution while proactively navigating challenges as they arise.
+ Track progress and goals and provide updates to the Executive Leadership Team regarding post-acquisition integration-related accounting processes (revenue, billing, collections)
+ Track and monitor working capital adjustments, escrow balances, and earn outs, as required.
+ New M&A Opportunities:
+ Drive the financial due diligence and related valuation modeling for all merger and acquisition opportunities.
+ Support the company’s finance portion of all M&A, including model and synergy determination, oversight of QoE process, development of integration plan, post-acquisition integration lead and ensuring synergy realization in accordance with plan and within timeline goals.
+ Engage with functional teams through the M&A process including for working capital and debt-like items, ensuring the needed amounts and items are
+ vetted with the Board M&A committee
+ included in bids, ensuring deliverables are on time.
+ Oversee relationship and processes with third party advisors such as providers of QoE services
+ Build templates that can create repeatable processes.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Qualifications-Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, MBA preferred.
+ 6+ years of progressive experience supporting or leading FP&A and M&A activities in a private equity owned company
+ Prefer candidates from a similar size company
**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
+ High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
+ Excellent financial modeling skills with ability to build 3 statement corporate merger models
+ Well-developed analytical skills, including solid background driving actions from data insights and using strong analysis to present situations to management
+ Establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization at all levels, and be viewed as a team player with exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
